Breaking out the Crusaders

Breaking out the Crusaders. British crusader tanks that is. Two from Armourfast (Mk ll) and one from Hasegawa (Mk lll)

M4A2 Quick Build Kit

Armourfast 1:72 M4A2 Sherman quick build kit. Each box has 2 tanks and is engineered to be very fast and simple to assemble, mainly for wargamers. The third tank shown with the two M4A2s is the Matchbox 1:76 Firefly.

Dollar Store Helis

I chanced upon these at my local market. I think they're Chinese made models based on a better known brand's scale model but i'm not familiar with aircraft models. Each is around a dollar. The box says its 1:115 scale which I feel is wrong. More likely it is 1:144. Any one tried these? How do they build up? I think I saw 3 different helis as well as an assortment of fighters. I bought one of each, namely a US Apache ( which I think is missing some nose parts), a Chinese Harbin Z-9 and a Chinese WZ-10.

Breaking Down Diecasts

Taking apart some diecast cars for repainting. The Hot Wheels HMMWVs are a bit of a disappointment by having plastic bodies. The Majorette Land Rover though is a satisfyingly heavy metal casting. All three will be repainted as military vehicles. posted from Bloggeroid
