The Model Box

Tried another mech inbetween some tank and afv models. This time around, its a more military looking mech from Mobile suit Gundam 00. Again, I know little of this genre but the fictitious info about this mech is interesting. Assembly was pretty straightforward and the kit engineering made model cement absolutely unnecessary. I damaged some part though by cutting too close from the sprue but made do with some putty and quick sanding.  This guy will have to wait for me to fix my airbrush before getting a coat of paint. More soon!

WIP pics of this model. Very weird proportions but I'm not familiar with this genre so I may be in the minority in feeling that the proportions are a bit off. Fast, no-nonsense assembly. And no glue! Very minor fitting issues. The Japanese really know how to design their kits! I'm setting this aside for painting some other day. Time to try out another mech kit!

Seriously contemplating trying out a gundam model. Or whatever robot kit I have. Just to break away from figures and armor for awhile...
